Plantar Fasciitis And Bone Spurs

Plantar fasciitis is the most common cause of heel pain. Approximately 60% of adults will suffer with this at some point. The plantar fascia is a thick tissue that runs the length of the bottom of the foot to provide support. It can become inflamed with overuse from new activities, repetitive impact or changes in shoe gear.

Many people will have a spur that can be associated with plantar fasciitis. However, most physicians believe the spur is not the cause of pain and most patients at our clinic can be treated without removing the spur. We see quite a few patients for second opinions that have been told they need their spur removed and we are happy to provide alternatives that are successful in elevating the pain.

If you have plantar fasciitis or bone spurs and want an expert discuss either conservative or surgical care we would be happy to review your options. If you live in Issaquah, Bellevue, Seattle, Redmond, Sammamish, Maple Valley and Renton please call us at 425–391–8666 or contact us online.
